Today, on the Day of Remembrance, the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake and those who died on the battlefield are remembered.

The Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a commemorative ceremony of laying flowers at the People's History monumental complex. 

The tradition of commemorating brave defenders of the Motherland and victims of natural disasters is an important part of humanitarian principles of our people that goes back centuries. Remembering them with respect is very important to convey the heroic journey of our people to the present generations.
