The well workover department at the Barsagelmez field, part of the «Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş» trust under the State concern «Türkmennebit», has returned 93 wells to operation since the start of the year — wells that had reduced or completely stopped production. The commissioning of 75 of these wells resulted in more than 26,500 additional tons of oil, representing 134 percent of the planned target. Specialists at the department aim to continue well workover operations through the end of the year — marked by celebrations of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence — and to further increase the total volume of additional oil extracted from the newly restored wells.
