A ceremonial seminar dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in Ashgabat. The event was attended by prominent state and public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and international organizations. Among the honored guests at the seminar were the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shuming, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Affairs, Chinar Rustemova, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, Ata Serdarov, as well as representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and public organizations of the country. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shuming, addressed the gathering with welcoming remarks. In his speech, the diplomat emphasized the outstanding role of the Communist Party of China in the formation of the modern Chinese statehood. «Thanks to the well-calibrated party and state strategy, China has achieved historic successes and undergone profound transformations. All this has vividly demonstrated the enormous advantage and powerful vitality of our development model», the Ambassador noted. The head of the diplomatic mission paid particular attention to the systematic development of the Turkmen-Chinese dialogue. Ji Shuming emphasized that the current high level of bilateral relations is the result of the personal attention and support of the leadership of the two countries — the President of the PRC Xi Jinping, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. «At the current stage, interstate cooperation is demonstrating high effectiveness and stability, especially in the strategically important energy sector», the diplomat said. As a landmark event, the diplomat mentioned the recent visit to Ashgabat by the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Ding Xuexiang. This visit was crowned with great success and gave a powerful impetus to joint endeavors not only in the fuel and energy complex, but also in the raw materials industries, as well as in cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In conclusion of his speech, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan expressed his firm intention to continue comprehensively expanding and deepening the mutually beneficial strategic partnership with Turkmenistan.
