Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Türkiye Mekan Ishangulyyev held talks on May 1 with Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, focusing on the implementation of new joint projects in various areas of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further development of Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic relations, as well as the diversification of business ties under current conditions, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Türkiye.

The participants noted significant opportunities to steadily increase mutual trade volumes and deepen cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

They also emphasized the importance of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission on economic cooperation and the council of Turkmen-Turkish business circles, along with organizing sector-specific exhibitions and joint business forums.

An exhibition of Turkish export goods was held in Ashgabat on Feb. 10–12, 2026.
