Central Asian leaders adopted a joint statement following the seventh Consultative Meeting held Nov. 16 in Tashkent, the press service of the Uzbekistan's president reported.
The document was signed by Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov, and Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon.
The leaders supported an appeal to United Nations member states endorsing the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2027–2028.
