French Senator Samantha Cazebonne, who represents French citizens living abroad, will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on June 23–24, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France announced following a meeting at the French Senate with Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to France, Maksat Chariyev.
The visit will include bilateral meetings and participation in events marking the 30th anniversary of French language instruction in Turkmenistan. The trip is expected to serve as a key step in enhancing educational and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of the 2025–2026 Roadmap for cooperation in general and higher education, signed during the official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to France on May 5.
Senator Cazebonne and Ambassador Chariyev reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening Turkmen-French collaboration in the cultural and educational spheres.
