Representatives of Turkmenistan’s state concerns Türkmengaz, Türkmennebit and Türkmenhimiýa held an online meeting with officials from the Department of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines to explore potential cooperation in the energy sector, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.

The Philippine delegation was led by Michael Sinocruz, Director of the Energy Policy and Planning Bureau at the Department of Energy. During the meeting, the Philippine side presented the current state and development plans of the country’s energy sector, expressing interest in expanding international partnerships.

The Turkmen side shared information about ongoing national programs for the development of hydrocarbon and chemical resources, major projects in the energy and chemical industries, and Turkmenistan’s experience in cooperation with foreign partners.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides expressed interest in strengthening ties and preparing joint proposals for collaboration in relevant areas.
