President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on an official visit to Kazakhstan on Friday, reaffirming the strong bilateral ties between the two Central Asian nations, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.

President Tokayev warmly welcomed Turkmen President, emphasizing the importance Kazakhstan places on its longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the first-ever Central Asia–Italy summit and for the hospitality extended during his visit. He voiced confidence that the high-level meeting and its outcomes would contribute to strengthening cooperation between Italy and the countries of the region.

The leaders are expected to continue discussions on regional collaboration, economic partnerships, and cultural ties during the summit.
