    08 May 25

Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a phone conversation on Thursday with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov. The two sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, regional security, and collaboration in the Caspian Sea, as reported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan. Meredov and Bayramov emphasized the importance of strengthening partnership ties between Ashgabat and Baku, based on the historically rooted friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of both countries. The heads of foreign ministries expressed confidence in the continued development of interstate dialogue. Special attention was given to political contacts at the level of heads of state, inter-ministerial consultations, and mutual visits. The sides also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including cooperation within international organizations.
