Chinese Company to Deliver $60M in Municipal Equipment to Ashgabat

The Ashgabat city administration has signed an agreement with Chinese company Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd. for the delivery of specialized municipal machinery, vehicles, and equipment. The $60 million contract aims to develop the city’s infrastructure and improve the quality of public services in the capital, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Sunday. A research team from Zoomlion has arrived in Ashgabat to prepare for the project implementation. Experts conducted testing of the equipment under city conditions, including high temperatures and sandstorms. Following the tests, the machinery was adapted to the Central Asian climate and demonstrated reliable performance at temperatures up to 45°C (113°F). As part of the agreement, Chinese company Infore Enviro, a member of the Zoomlion group, will supply Turkmenistan with modern solutions for street cleaning, waste removal, and urban infrastructure maintenance. A key element of the contract includes establishing a 24-hour service center in Ashgabat. Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing and supplying equipment for pollution control. The company produces machinery for environmental protection, construction waste disposal, household garbage, and solid municipal waste management, as well as other specialized equipment. Additionally, Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Environmental Industry manufactures vehicles.
