On April 4, 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tokyo, together with the Japan Friendship Exchange Council, organized a cultural forum dedicated to “2025 – the International Year of Peace and Trust”. During his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov noted that by consistently implementing a foreign policy course based on the principles of positive neutrality and having received broad support from the Community of Nations, Turkmenistan makes a concrete contribution to strengthening constructive international cooperation for the sake of universal well-being and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Evidence of this are the creative initiatives of Turkmenistan, put forward in the format of the UN and other authoritative structures, including the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. The Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of Japan for its valuable support and contribution to the further strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan. The forum participants were also introduced to the cultural traditions of Turkmenistan.
