The railway agencies of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Iran have decided to create a coordination working group with the involvement of international organizations for the KTI railway project. This decision was made at the 19th International Seminar held in Ashgabat, focused on simplifying trade, transport, and information procedures, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.

Representatives from transport agencies across Central Asia participated in the event, with particular attention given to the digitalization and standardization of data exchange within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

Participants discussed the need to comply with international standards for the effective operation of the route connecting China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and Europe.

They also addressed issues such as the legal recognition of electronic documents and digital signatures, data protection, and database development.

The seminar resulted in recommendations to advance digital transport corridors to simplify logistics, reduce bureaucratic barriers, and enhance the competitiveness of the region’s transport system.
