The Turkmen delegation, headed by the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities, Rahimberdi Jepbarov, met with the Chairman of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Nobumitsu Hayashi. They discussed large-scale projects to be implemented soon in the petrochemical, energy, and other sectors.

During the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Tokyo from February 17 to 19, 2025, they also explored new areas of financial and economic cooperation and the role of Japanese technologies in the development of Turkmenistan's economy, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
