Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a phone conversation on Friday with Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, during which they discussed preparations for high-level state visits, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The two sides also addressed cooperation in international organizations, including the UN, and exchanged views on developing a legal framework for collaboration.

On October 10, 2024, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh visited Ashgabat to participate in an international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.

During the visit, the Mongolian leader met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The two heads of state discussed key issues in bilateral relations, and following their talks, they held a ceremony to sign several bilateral documents.
