In the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, the eighth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation will take place on February 19-20. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported on the preparations for the event during a regular online government meeting on Friday, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.

The agenda included issues related to further deepening bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye in the fields of trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian relations.

The Vice Premier presented a project of proposals aimed at enhancing the commission's effectiveness, which he submitted for the consideration of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

After reviewing the report, the head of state approved the composition of the commission from the Turkmen side and instructed the Vice Premier to take the necessary measures.

The government meeting also addressed several other important state issues, leading to appropriate decisions.
