The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, arrived for a visit to the Principality of Monaco, as Turkmenistan's official media reported on Sunday.

Before his departure from Ashgabat, he met with local media representatives, according to the report.

In his statement, Berdimuhamedov highlighted that Monaco, designated the "Sports Capital of the World 2025," serves as a model of successful development in this field and emphasized the significance of sports as a tool for strengthening peace and trust.

During the visit, special attention will focus on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Monaco. Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that this date will symbolize the strengthening of cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres.
