Turkmenistan Committed to Further Developing Bilateral Relations With U.S.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met on Tuesday in Ashgabat with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council. During the meeting, Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to advance bilateral relations with the United States, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan. Stewart expressed gratitude for the opportunity for a personal conversation and noted the strong interest of U.S. business circles in the Turkmen market, where all conditions for effective and mutually beneficial activities have been created. In the conversation, Eric Stewart highlighted that Turkmenistan sets an example for the world with its extensive initiatives in environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and ecological balance. He also reminded attendees that Turkmenistan's efforts in environmental matters enjoy wide support from the international community. These achievements have resulted from the state environmental policy established by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
