Turkmenistan and Iran Prepare For Meeting on Economic Cooperation

Turkmenistan and Iran will hold the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation by the end of this year. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that this matter was discussed during a phone conversation on November 6, 2024, between Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and his Iranian counterpart Sayyid Abbas Araghchi. During their discussion, the ministers addressed a wide range of topics related to bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. They noted the increasing pace of high-level contacts and reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during meetings between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran earlier this year.
