Nor Isham Abdullah

Chief Operating Officer, PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd

Isham started his career as Process Technologist in petrochemical plant, Downstream Business of PETRONAS in November 2001. He was then moved to Upstream Business in 2010, by joining Malaysia Petroleum Management, host authority in Malaysia for Upstream Oil & Gas industry. He has been assigned to look after oil and gas production, asset integrity and assurance before eventually tasked to look after PETRONAS’ readiness on decommissioning and abandonment. He represented PETRONAS for E&P Taskforce on Decommissioning for ASEAN Council of PETROLEUM (ASCOPE) and International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) Decommissioning Committee East. His experience in operations and regulatory function leads to his next appointment as Head, Production Oil for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd since 2019. He is then trusted to head newly formed department, Upstream Logistics starting from Feb 2022 to house Subject Matter Expert of marine, aviation & divings with aims to drive for safer & optimized logistics operation. He spent short period in Joint Venture Malaysia of PCSB before his next appointment as Chief Operating Officer of PC(T)SB in June 2025.
