Serdar Saparov

Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan

Serdar Saparov is a seasoned energy professional with extensive experience in designing and managing power transmission projects. He graduated from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in 2010. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan, a position he has held since August 2021. Prior to this role, he was the Deputy Chairman of the Department of International Electric Power Projects focusing on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route at the Ministry of Energy from January 2020 to August 2021. From January 2016 to January 2020, Serdar worked as the Chief Engineer at the "Turkmenenergotaslama" Institute within the Ministry of Energy. His earlier positions include Head of the Topogeodetic Engineering-Survey Division (October 2015 - January 2016) and Chief Specialist in the Department of Designing Power Transmission Systems for capacities of 35kW and above (September 2012 - October 2015). His career began as an Engineer in the same department in August 2010, progressing through various roles, including 1st Grade Engineer and Chief Engineer, where he focused on designing power transmission systems. His leadership role as Deputy Minister underscores his commitment to advancing Turkmenistan's energy sector and fostering international collaborations.
